Please note: this course is no longer available to book as it ran in 2023. We will be running this course again in 2024. *********************************************************************************************** During this course we will dive into techniques of pattern making for skirts. We will be drafting patterns using 1/3 scale blocks which are one third of the measurements of a full-scale block to save space. Expect to learn: - how to create patterns for different styles of skirts from a basic block pattern. - about garment ease, dart manipulation and seam allowance. - how to recognise, analyse and make skirt patterns with a variety of elements; for example: a straight skirt, A-line skirt with yoke, gathered skirt, circle skirt, pockets, zips etc. A small class of 6, these spots will fill quickly. If you would like to transfer these skills to make a full size skirt for yourself we can arrange a time where we make blocks using your personal measurements.
